bpssc.bihar.gov.in. - Find Result Link: On the homepage, look for the notice dated 16/03/2026 titled “Result of Preliminary Written Examination for the Post of Police Sub-Inspector”.
- Download PDF: Click on the link to open the result PDF file.
- Search Your Roll Number: Once the PDF is open, use the Ctrl + F shortcut and enter your roll number.
- Check Status: If your roll number is highlighted, congratulations! You have qualified for the Bihar SI Mains exam.
Important Statistics of the Prelims Exam
This year, the competition was quite high. Out of over 7.26 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam on January 18 and 21, approximately 29,272 candidates were disqualified due to errors in OMR sheets, such as incorrect roll numbers or missing signatures. After a rigorous evaluation, only the top 35,857 candidates (roughly 20 times the number of vacancies) were selected for the Mains stage.

Shortlisted candidates must now start preparing for the Mains Examination.
- Mains Exam Date: Expected on April 19, 2026.
- Paper Pattern: The Mains exam consists of two papers (General Hindi and General Studies).
- Next Rounds: After clearing the Mains, candidates will undergo the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), and Medical Examination.
